The Berkcirque Residency program brings the excitement of circus to your school for a week at a time! Yes indeed the circus artist will bring all equipment needed to teach basic circus skills such as balance, juggling, tumbling, clowning and more! The curriculum can be geared to every age or grade. Working with the PE teacher the circus arts instructor will stimulate the children's imagination and remind them how new challenges can be FUN!
A week long circus theme can be incorporated into the whole school curriculum as students improve focus, coordination, confidence, rhythm, balance and team building skills.
The residency ends with an hour long assembly where the students can share the skills they learned and is often used as a fundraiser for the school Physical Education department.
The cost of the program is based on the number of students participating as follows:
Up to 100 students - $2,000
101-200 students - $2,500
201-300 students - $3,000
Additionally we offer an after-school in house circus arts class for schools in the Berkshire/Taconic region. The program can be one semester long or take place throughout the entire school year. This program can be funded by the PTO or by the parents that register their child for the class.
It is a one hour circus 'lesson' right after dismissal of regularly scheduled classes.
The price depends on number of participants and how many weeks the class will run.
